I'm wondering if there is any work going on for standards with XML-RPC integrating into Second Life (the virtual world). Thank you.

I don't know of any standards efforts specifically related to the Second Life XML API's. It's an interesting question though. Have you spoken with the Cisco, Microsoft, or Sun reps who participate in Second Life to see if they are driving any initiatives in this area? I know that Cisco has put together a group of corporations to look at creating some sort of consortium focused on SL, so that might be a place to start.
